Created by community mapmakers jd40 and Roald, Anubis joined Valve's official map pool in 2022 and replaced Dust II in active duty in 2023.

Competitive History on Anubis
Anubis was added to active duty in May 2023, replacing Dust 2. Its pro-play debut at IEM Dallas 2023 showcased an aggressive mid-control meta. NAVI and Heroic both built strong Anubis pool entries during 2024.

Source 2 Anubis has refined water-splash audio, making canal rotations slightly easier to hear. Heaven hold has minor geometry changes that favour AWP defensive plays.

T side: mid-to-B connector plays are cheapest; force AWP on round 3 wins. CT side: AWP on mid or heaven B, stack two A + two B + one mid rotator.
